Uproxx is seeking a Los Angeles-based video editor who can create mobile-first videos that reflect THE CULTURE OF NOW - short, text-heavy social videos celebrating the most fascinating, trendsetting tastemakers in youth culture. This editor must be a versatile, natural storyteller with a distinct voice and style who loves news, politics, cultural and social issues. This editor must have excellent taste - taste in music, design and storytelling. Someone who is good under pressure who can turn in videos quickly and accurately is a must. This editor is an idea machine who can look at a script given to them and find unique, fun and imaginative ways to plus it up and find the universally-appealing emotional crux of it. This person is a jack-of-all-trades who can take trending news topics and create videos that ask the big questions or investigate the big problems - all in just a few minutes. The position is Monday through Friday, normal business hours. Possibility of full-time employment based on performance.
